Due to continued expansion they are looking to recruit a Senior Ecologist to join their Central Scotland based office.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the co-ordination and supervision of Field and Assistant Ecologists to ensure projects are performed and delivered to the highest possible standard. There will also be a large element of field work involved with the role including Phase 1 habitat surveys and protected species work. Other duties will involve contributing to the promotion and development of the companies ecological services and mentoring junior team members.
Applicants must have a degree in Ecology and a Masters in a related subject would be an advantage. Relevant experience of project management in a consultancy environment is essential along with experience of ecological surveying, impact assessment and mitigation. Applicants must hold at least one English Nature licence and possess exceptional identification skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required for the role as is IEEM Membership.
