Assistant Landscape Architect - East Midlands

£23,000 - £30,000
Our client is a team of professional chartered town planners, urban designers and landscape architects who provide imaginative but commercially realistic advice to ensure that the projects they work on achieve their full potential. They work at all levels including strategic national planning, government research, environmental impact assessment, masterplanning, mineral/waste/energy planning, urban design and landscape architecture.

Due to expansion they are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Landscape Architect within the East Midlands area.

The successful candidate will have:
-A degree in Landscape Architecture
-An good knowledge of the relation of wider environmental issues with landscape architecture
-Knowledge of using MS Office, CAD, Graphic design, ArcGIS and relevant software

You will be required to:
-Plan and assist the undertaking of LVIAs for single wind turbine renewable energy projects in accordance with the latest best practice guidance
-Carry out site viewpoint photography to support LVIA
-Undertake the preparation of photomontages in accordance with LVIA guidance
-Undertake planning and policy research
-Prepare landscape technical and presentation drawing undertaken to agreed programmes and internal budget
-Prepare landscape specifications and schedules of quantities and tender documentation

As an Assistant Landscape Architect you will need to have Strong skills in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Office and Adobe Suite and with good communication & sketching ability. Ideally candidates will have a degree in Landscape Architecture as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma or Master degree in Landscape Architecture. You would need to have 1 years+ professional experience working in a Multi-Disciplinary or Landscape Architecture practice. They are currently looking to increase their team in Northamptonshire by way of a Landscape Architect. The successful candidate would be working on a wide variety of interesting projects throughout the UK. There will also be opportunities to be involved in landscape design, planning and environmental projects. The successful applicant will have some of the following: Licentiate Member of the Landscape Institute An experienced user of AutoCAD and ideally have knowledge of other relevant software packages, e.g. Photoshop, Sketchup and GIS software Have proven LVIA report-writing skills; An attractive package is available to the successful candidate, commensurate with experience.
