Our client is a large multi-disciplined, environmental design consultancy that provides comprehensive, integrated services to their clients in urban and landscape design and environmental planning. They are continually evolving the service that they provide in order to meet clients needs in an ever-changing environment. They currently have an exciting opportunity for an innovative, talented Graduate Landscape Architect to join their established team in London.

The role will involve assisting with specific strategic landscape design projects as well as the provision of specialist landscape and urban design advice at all stages of the design process. The successful applicant will travel to project sites and assist with landscape survey work and contribute towards any final reports.

Applicants must have a first degree/diploma in Landscape Architecture and should be Part III qualified and a member of the Landscape Institute. A thorough knowledge of technical, legislative and policy framework and best practice relating to landscape and design matters is required as are strong analytical and design capabilities. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential.

You will be working on a diverse portfolio of projects including: -Landscape and visual impact assessment (LVIA). -Strategic studies such as landscape and seascape character assessments and sensitivity studies. -Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and planning. -Knowledge or experience of GIS You will be expected to participate in all aspects of work, including assisting with generation of new business, writing proposals, project management and providing support to senior staff on large and complex projects. The exact nature of responsibility will depend on the level at which the appointment is made. A driving licence is required, as are good map reading skills, as a lot of the projects are field based. You must have excellent communication skills, and be able to plan and structure reports well and convey information in a clear and concise manner. You must be versatile and willing to work on a whole range of projects, including tasks relating to planning and research, and landscape design and implementation. An aptitude for research and problem solving, as well as high professional standards is required. A knowledge of/interest in relevant software packages including GIS, Autocad, Adobe CS (Photoshop and InDesign), 3D modelling, SketchUp will be helpful. They have an impressive portfolio of global, national and regional projects at all stages of the planning, design and construction. Due to their increasing workload they are looking to appointment a recent graduate with at least 1 year of experience, and Pre CMLI candidate with 2 years plus, to work in their busy design led practice in London. They would also consider a Chartered Landscape Architect with 2 years Post CMLI Experience for an additional role within their Design Team. The ideal candidates will have good creative design skills and able to write and produce good reports and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will possess a working knowledge of materials, including IT software skills such as AutoCAD, Photoshop and InDesign.
