Chartered Building Surveyor - Homebased

£40,000 - £70,000
Independent Chartered Surveyors are offering the opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor to work from home offering Building Surveys, Party Wall advice, Asset Management and Property Valuations.

You will be home based so would need to be a self-starter with the confidence to work autonomously.
You will be offering expert, tailored advice on residential and commercial property, whether clients are moving, investing in a property or managing a portfolio.

You will be a Senior Building Surveyor in a nationwide network of surveyors. You must be chartered with the RICS (MRICS or FRICS) with ideally a minimum of three years of experience in a similar role.

Residential surveying experience is essential. Any other specialism will be a bonus to your potential clientele. Ideally you will have some commercial, party wall or valuation experience but this is not essential.

Most importantly you must be motivated and able to work on your own.

There is no micromanagement here, just the trust you will work with professionalism, focusing on providing a customer experience that is second to none and be able to organise your own work and diary efficiently.

Salary will vary depending on experience and locations but expected earnings will be from £40k to £70k+

Chartered Building Surveyor is required to deliver a first class end to end subsidence claims handling service. Work will be mainly in Hertfordshire. You must be able to understand the technical natures of the claim and set a strategy for resolution understanding each individual demand and likely outcome. You must be able to deliver excellence against reduced duration, cost control and customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be someone who has a well-developed and effective written and verbal communications skills able to articulate complex issues with strong organisational and time management skills. It is also essential for you to have good dispute resolution handling skills and problem solving ability to recognise difficulties and take proactive measures to overcome problems. My client has an immediate vacancy for a recently Chartered Building Surveyor. The ideal candidate will have 2 to 3 years' experience working as a building surveyor and who is able to primarily progress instructions with minimal supervision, though with guidance provided by more experienced surveyors initially. Practical experience is required in the following areas: - Contract Administration - Projects predominantly internal common parts and external repairs and redecorations, some specialist repair projects etc. - Defect investigation and reporting with recommended repairs - Licence to Alter requests - Planned Maintenance Programme development - Reinstatement Cost Assessment inspections, calculations and reporting - Party Wall instructions for Building Owner, Adjoining Owner and Agreed Owner - Dilapidations instructions - Building Condition surveys You will be based in Hertfordshire and will be expected to deliver regular inspections to inner and outer areas of London and the home-counties. A key performance indicator for the role will be fee billing and it is imperative any prospective applicant should be able to demonstrate they have a track record of achieving financial fee targets, as well as delivering completed instructions of a high quality and in a timely manner. The salary offered is in range of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum and benefits include a joint contributing pension scheme.
