Graduate Environmental Technician - Asbestos Analyst

Our Client offers independent and professional solutions to all issues that arise from the presence of environmental risks in buildings. With their simple clear approach, they help their clients regulate and eliminate risks in these areas.

Due to workload they are seeking graduates to train as environmental technicians specialising as asbestos analysts.

Our client is offering a great opportunity to become a qualified Asbestos Analyst.
The successful candidate will be provided training and experience through a staged development programme leading to formal BOHS / RSPH qualifications and a role within their Asbestos Analytical department. This opportunity will enable the candidate to develop a long-term career in the Asbestos industry.

This role will involve travelling from different sites to carry out air testing and using a microscope to count fibres in air samples. As an Analyst you will also be inspecting asbestos removal projects and certify the areas as safe for re-occupation after a formal process.

This role does require extensive travelling from site to site.

You will be joining a friendly company of professionals focused on excellent service to their customers and also be part of a good working environment.

To be considered for this position you will need a full UK driving licence, have an excellent work ethic and completed a degree in Chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, Chemistry or Environmental Science.

They are now looking to recruit a Graduate Legionella Consultant to cover projects in Hampshire and the South East. This is an exciting opportunity for a graduate to join the client's ever expanding team and start a career in the field of Legionella risk management and control. The successful candidate will be trained to carry out risk assessment of building water systems for the control of legionellosis, auditing client site records and log books to ensure adequate maintenance regimes are being implemented. Experience of AutoCAD, along with the ability to compile technical reports would be useful but not essential as full training will be given. Educated to degree level in a Science discipline (Environmental Science, mechanical / Chemical engineering or Chemsitry). A keen attitude towards understanding the Legislation and guidance relating to water and indoor air quality and computer literacy in Microsoft Office programmes is essential.
