Our client is a forward thinking, international group that provides specialist assessment services to sectors such as quality, health, safety and environment. They are able to provide a fully integrated, high quality service and as a result have earned a reputation as leaders in their field. They currently require a Senior Ecologist to join and support their Hampshire based team.
The role will involve undertaking a wide variety of protected species surveys (birds, amphibians, reptiles, bats, badgers and water voles) as well as botanical surveys along with producing factual and interpretive reports. Other responsibilities will include attending meetings with clients, contractors and regulatory authorities across the UK as well as preparing fee proposals and tender submissions. The successful applicant will also undertake project management activities such as financial aspects, site coordination and health and safety plans and risk assessments.
Applicants must have a first degree in Ecology or a closely related subject and a relevant Masters would be an advantage. Experience of working as an Ecologist in a consultancy environment is essential and should have included protected species work, project management responsibilities and relevant document preparation. This role is ideal for an Ecologist ready to take the next step in their career development within a well-respected company.
At least one protected species licence and membership of a relevant professional institute would be a distinct advantage.
In return our client is offering the successful applicant a generous package along with excellent career development opportunities.
