Our clients are a well-established Chartered Quantity Surveying practice looking for an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their office based in Greater Manchester.

Experience/Qualifications Required:
- BSc Quantity Surveying Degree (RICS Accredited)
- Minimum of 2 years' previous QS experience
-Good IT literacy
-High levels of numeracy and literacy
-Excellent communication and organisational skills
-Capable of working to strict targets and timescales
-Capable of communicating effectively and efficiently with design teams and colleagues
-Ability to multi task and prioritise workload

The Candidate:
-Highly committed and confident individual with a professional and proactive approach to work
-Flexible, self-motivated, and capable of working on own initiative with minimum supervision
-Capable of working under pressure but able to recognise when to seek advice on prioritisation and urgency of tasks

As they continue to expand, they're currently looking to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team in Manchester. They're ideally looking for someone with a minimum of 10 years' QS experience, preferably with a strong groundworks &/or civil engineering background, to manage multiple projects (values circa £2m-£5m) throughout the North West. Candidates must be capable of managing projects autonomously from inception to completion. Our clients are a small to medium sized Construction Contractor based in the North West operation throughout the Commercial, Industrial & Public Sectors with extensive experience working as both Principal Contractors and D&B Contractors. Due to recent growth, they are currently looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team based just outside of Greater Manchester. This is a great opportunity to join a growing company becoming part of a close knit team working a variety of projects throughout the North West. This role would suit an ambitious Assistant QS with circa 1-3 years' experience, looking to develop your career long term within a growing company. Duties to include but not limited to; - Preparation & submission of post contract documentation - Estimating - Issuing of subcontract orders & payments - Measure & Value work - Preparation & submission of final invoices & final accounts for project works - To lead in all aspects of the estimating and tendering of new contracts - Manage and control new or revised contract documentation and issue to production team - Identifying and producing variations to contracts - Build and maintain relationships with client's commercial and technical teams - Working on projects from inception through to final accounts Experience/Qualifications needed: - BSc Quantity Surveying Degree - Minimum of 12 months' QS experience - Must be able to autonomously and as part of a team - Ideally experience carrying out both QS & Estimating duties - Full UK Drivers Licence
