My client is an expanding independent firm based in Greater Manchester specialising in commercial and residential properties across the North West.

Due to an increase in workload they are looking to recruit an experienced MRICS qualified building surveyor. My client prides themselves on being experts in the region and are looking for someone to join them with excellent local knowledge.

The role will incorporate a variety of work including dilapidations, disrepair, building surveys, building pathology, party wall matters, boundary disputes and valuations.

Their ideal candidate will fit the following criteria:

- MRICS qualification
- Private practice experience
- The ability to work impartially and to expert witness standard

This role may suit a candidate looking for a more varied role with greater autonomy, or a self-employed surveyor seeking the resources, atmosphere or administrative support of a busy firm with optional flexible working hours.

You will ideally be chartered but if you have a similar qualification in Construction this will be considered.? Chartered Surveyors based in London are looking for an additional Chartered Building Surveyor to join their team assisting with company growth and continued excellence in customer care.? They have a requirement for an experienced Building Surveyor able to undertake Condition Assessments, Building Surveys and HomeBuyers Surveys for a wide range of commercial and residential property-types.? In addition to this you will utilise your knowledge of the property market and relevant legislation to produce reports such as Homebuyers Reports / Building Surveys / Defect Diagnosis / Structural Defect Reports / Expert Witness. We are looking for someone who keeps up with legislation, regular CPD and has a good understanding of RICS requirements and all relevant legislation. If you are a registered Valuer even better! For your application to be accepted you will ideally meet the following criteria: > Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS)? > Over 1 year of post qualification experience? > Due to the requirements of regular travel you must have your own car and a full drivers licence.? The salary range for this role is in the region of £45,000 to £55,000 depending on the level of experience plus performance related bonus plus a generous benefits package.
My client is a highly successful Property Consultancy who are looking to expand their Building Consultancy department with an additional Building Surveyor to join the team. The purpose of the role is to deliver building consultancy services to a range of commercial and public sector clients ensuring appropriate fee income. The role will be to provide support to the activities of the Team, and the Firm, in achieving targeted fee income and will include: - Preparing specifications, tendering and monitoring constructions works on site - Preparing drawings on Auto CAD for projects - Preparing and negotiating schedules of dilapidations - Preparing schedules of condition and assessing claims post works - Residential and commercial stock condition surveys - Party Wall work- Planning and Building Regulation applications - Measured Surveys of Land and Buildings - Project monitoring of new build schemes on behalf of Funders, and prospective Tenants and Purchasers - Preparing feasibility studies and sketch scheme designs for a wide variety of building types - Preparing Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules - Professional work as designated according to experience - Assistance with other professional building surveying projects - Providing support for more junior members of the support team - Development of existing Clients - Compliance with Company standards and procedures To be successful in your application you must meet the following criteria: - Qualified Member of the RICS, with minimum 1 years' PQE - Ideally have previous experience within a commercial consultancy - A willingness to undertake local and firm-wide business development initiatives, and increase develop the building consultancy service delivered - Pro-active self-starter with good interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing - The ability to manage time effectively, prioritising tasks to ensure that deadlines are met - The ability to produce clear and concise written reports and recommendations - Building Surveys and Schedules of Condition - Planning and Building Regulations - Experience in the design and refurbishment of buildings and administration of Building Contracts - Defect Analysis - Identifying & analysing building pathology, preparing technical reports - Dilapidation claim experience with ability to read and understand lease covenants - Party Wall work - Experience in health and safety procedures, CDM and DDA - A full driving licence is essential If you don't have the relevant skills required for this particular position please get in contact as we have other Building Surveying and General Practice vacancies throughout the UK from Graduate level to Director/Partner, some of which are not advertised due to the clients request.
