Landscape/Environmental Planner

Our Client is a highly regarded and successful Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy undertaking projects across the country from a number of offices. Due to expanding portfolio of projects, they are looking for a full time Landscape or Environmental Planner for their Gloucestershire office.

Desired Requirements for an Landscape Planner include:

Experience of landscape/environmental planning work including LVIA
Experience of working with clients and in multidisciplinary teams
Experience of managing projects or a desire to develop the necessary skills
Experience of using GIS, graphics software and/or AutoCAD is desirable

Ideally for a role as a Landscape Planner you must have a degree in Landscape Architecture as well as a Post-Graduate Diploma or Master degree in Landscape Architecture or Environmental Discipline. You would ideally also have professional experience working in a Multi-Disciplinary or Landscape Architecture practice and able to demonstrate strong software skills.

Our Client is a specialist consultancy that is currently seeking a Chartered Landscape Architect for their Gloucestershire office to play a central role in expanding its workload and reputation in delivering environmental and regulatory services. The successful applicant with hellp in the production of landscape and visual impact assessments for 'standalone' reports and as part of environmental impact assessments. In addition, they will required to work with the Design team to assist with master planning on residential, commercial and industrial projects. Main responsibilities include: Undertaking LVIA assessments for large infrastructure projects, including renewable energy projects; Report writing, in particular compiling the LVIA and non-technical chapters of environmental statements and reports; Production of visualisations; Preparation of master plans in consultation with the Design Team; Liaising with clients, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders; Developing client relationships; Technical proposal writing. Candidates must have: A relevant degree qualification; Chartered Membership of the Landscape Institute (or equivalent); A full UK driving licence; Extensive practical experience; Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills; Experience in landscape and visual impact assessment for large infrastructure projects; Experience of landscape and urban design relating to new development and regeneration; Commercial awareness and client facing experience; Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team; Commitment to personal and continuing professional development; Capable of organising and developing own work with minimal supervision; Public inquiry experience is desirable.
