Water Environmental Service Technician

£22,000 - £27,000
Our client is a leading Water Treatment Company that is now looking to recruit an Environmental Service Technician in Essex.

Main duties of this position include:

Carrying out various water and Air hygiene tasks including:
Air Monitoring for Carbon monoxide and Carbon Dioxide.
Water sampling
Cold Water Storage Tank Clean and Disinfection
Disinfection of domestic water services
Hygiene monitoring of water and air systems
Remedials when on site
Carry out allocated service work within agreed time schedules, adhering to the company's health and safety policy and quality policy, and to the relevant industry guidelines and customer specifications
Complete reports and paperwork as instructed by your team leader
Be prepared for inclusion on a call out rota for out of hours work
Be available to carry out necessary works outside normal hours with additional remuneration.
Quality - Ensure compliance with QMS, documentation to be correct and current
Any other associated duties which may be requested from time to time
Completion of reports and paperwork
You will act as a representative for the company, working along your team leader, assisting when required. You must conduct yourself in a professional manner, supporting clients and colleagues when needed.

You must hold a full driving licence and be physically fit to be able to complete required duties. You must also be able to work as part as a team and without direct supervision. Good communication skills are essential, as is being able to think outside the box and use your own initiative to improve processes and procedures.

Our client is a leading provider of bespoke Water & Air Hygiene services across the UK that have a requirement for an experienced Senior Water Treatment Engineer. You will be predominantly covering clients in Essex and London Key Responsibilities Include: Cooling tower cleaning and disinfection Cold water storage tank cleaning and disinfection BS8558 flushing and disinfection Closed system water treatment TMV servicing Sampling and monitoring Preparing and completing job sheets, on-site log books and procedure logs Assist HR with the recruitment of new engineers and shadow, mentor and train them on inhouse systems Work in partnership with Service Delivery to ensure engineers induction checklist is fully completed and signed off after one month Ensure engineers are audited and spot checked at least every six months Support Compliance team as and when required for annual audits and spot checks of engineers Lead by example ensuring all reports and paperwork, including site specific risk assessments are completed on time and accurate Assist Service Delivery with specific details for site specific RAMs Attend weekly ops meeting (By phone if cannot attend in person) and ensure any actions listed in the minutes are complete Attend Quarterly H&S meetings Skills and Experience Required: Substantial experience in Water Hygiene / Legionella control industry Understanding of water treatment plant (Cooling Towers, Water softeners, Dosage & control equipment) Full current UK driving Licence
Our client is an expanding Water Treatment Company currently recruiting for a Water Hygiene Engineer in Essex. The successful candidate will be involved in temperature monitoring and sampling at sites throughout the South East. Other duties can include cold water storage tank cleaning, disinfecting shower heads and TMV servicing and fitting. Any experienced of Closed System Analysis would be a bonus. Candidates will need to complete paperwork on time. Ideally candidates will currently be working in the Water industry as an Engineer and will be looking to progress their career. The ability to carrying out physical work in confined areas such as roof spaces and tanks with minimal supervision will be required along with a full driver's license. Responsible for the installation and commissioning of water treatment equipment. Responsible for conducting installation and all other works to all appropriate guidance and legislation to ensure compliance, i.e. Water Regs, 18th Edition electrical guidance, British Standards, etc. Ensure all projects are delivered on schedule and on budget. Ensure projects team are providing a good service to our customers by: Working to the deadlines outlined in the project planner Adhering to requests of Projects Delivery Manager Liaising with customers to meet and exceed expectations Adhere to agreed KPIs set and regularly reviewed with your direct line manager. Dealing with incoming telephone calls Dealing with general customer queries Raise and issue Project invoices. Attending customer meetings if required. Contract closedown process to be completed.
