Our Client is a Multi-Disciplinary Consultancy located in Essex. They produce strategies, management plans, governance reviews and policies for better management of natural and cultural heritage sites and are currently looking to recruit an Ecologist.

The position will involve the following responsibilities:
-Assisting with and/or managing a range of ecological field surveys, including protected species surveys and extended Phase 1 Habitat Surveys
-Undertaking desk studies, literature reviews and data analysis, as well as assisting with preparing reports to a high technical standard and within deadlines
-Assisting in the production of Environmental Impact Assessment documents

The successful candidate will have:

-Field experience
-A relevant Degree
-Legislation knowledge
-Ability to complete species surveys
-Full driving licence

They are now looking to recruit a Senior Ecologist with consultancy experience to join their team in Essex. The position provides the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and typically high profile projects throughout the UK. Senior Ecologist duties will involve the following: Leading and delivering ecological project work such as: protected species and habitat surveys Appraisals and impact assessments for development proposals; biodiversity planning strategies; ecological management plans; and green infrastructure design advice Candidates must have the ability to communicate ecological principles and concepts to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, design teams and other consultants.
