Our client is a well-established multi-disciplinary company that are well known for their designs and executions of environmental projects. As the company continues to grow and take on new projects they are now expanding their team and are seeking a Senior Ecologist to work out of their office in Derbyshire.

The Senior Ecologist should have:
An ecological/environmental related degree
5 years' experience within an ecological consultancy
Ability to complete Extended Phase 1 habitat surveys
Preferably NVC or detailed botanical survey experience
Extensive experience of surveying and species requirements
In-depth knowledge of the bat licensing process and implementing mitigation
Be experienced in protected species survey and mitigation
Hold some kind of species surveying licence and have experience of the licensing process
Excellent report writing skills
Understanding of design, mitigation and habitat management plans
Experience of programmes such as ArcGIS, CorelDraw and CAD or similar
Experienced in undertaking EcIA and possibly HRA
Project management skills
Ability to train and mentor Junior Ecologists
Membership of CIEEM
Full clean driving licence and access to your own car
