Graduate Environmental Technician - Asbestos Analyst - Buckinghamshire

Our Client offers independent and professional solutions to all issues that arise from the presence of environmental risks in buildings. Due to workload they are seeking a graduate to train as an environmental technician specialising as asbestos analysts.

Our client is offering a great opportunity to become a qualified Asbestos Analyst.
The successful candidate will be provided training and experience through a staged development programme leading to formal BOHS / RSPH qualifications and a role within their Asbestos Analytical department. This opportunity will enable the candidate to develop a long-term career in the Asbestos industry.

This role will involve travelling from different sites to carry out air testing and using a microscope to count fibres in air samples. As an Analyst you will also be inspecting asbestos removal projects and certify the areas as safe for re-occupation after a formal process.

This role does require extensive travelling from site to site.

You will be joining a friendly company of professionals focused on excellent service to their customers and also be part of a good working environment.

To be considered for this position you will need a full UK driving licence, have an excellent work ethic and completed a degree in Chemistry or Environmental Science.

Our client is a market leader for consultancy services in the field of occupational hygiene, workplace monitoring and health and safety management. The company are now keen to recruit a Junior Legionella Consultant to join their team in Buckinghamshire. The successful Junior Legionella Consultant will be assisting contract and project managers by undertaking portfolio and one off works. You will be trained to carry out risk assessments of building water systems for the control of legionellosis and to audit site records and log books to ensure adequate maintenance regimes are implemented. Additionally you will be responsible for liaising with contract and project managers in relation to work under their control. You will receive training in conducting assessments of ducted air conditioning systems and taking samples for microscopic and bacterial analysis. Other duties will include preparing comprehensive reports including observations, recommendations and interpretation of laboratory analysis along with liaising with existing clients. Ideal Junior Legionella Consultant candidates for this role will be; Degree qualified in a relevant science based subject, ideally within Environmental Science Hold full & clean UK driving licence Successful Junior Legionella Consultant candidates will be put through an extensive training programme of building mechanical services and a thorough understanding of the legislation and guidance related to water and indoor air quality.
