I am working with a highly successful multidisciplinary architectural practice who are looking to take on an additional Building Surveyor to join the team in their Bristol office due to an increase in workload.

My client is a friendly and focused team covering a wide variety of commissions from its own client base and other parts of the business. The team covers project work on a range of building types including conservation work on heritage buildings, up to £3m, as well as all professional work including building surveys, defects investigation, party wall advice and expert witness services, maintenance planning and dilapidations.

If you are MRICS qualified and ideally have a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience, or are a candidate with significant relevant experience working toward MRICS, with an ability to demonstrate the following, I would like to speak to you.

Essential criteria

- Able to deliver a wide variety of projects from inception to completion including feasibility studies, design/detailing (CAD), specification, contract administration and cost control.
- Rigorous in evaluation of building condition
- Accurate identification and investigation of defects and able to produce cost conscious solutions for a variety of building defects
- Knowledge of building and preventative maintenance requirements
- Strong time management skills enabling management of own workload within allocated timescales with timely preparation of reports, specifications, schedules of work and drawings
- Clear and concise report writing
- Proficient in the use of AutoCAD, word, excel and project.

Family run Surveyors in the South West are looking for a MRICS or AssocRICS qualified Building Surveyor to join the team to work director with the MD. You will be homebased, carrying out Building Surveys on Residential Property throughout Bristol and Bath. You will also be required to carry out HomeBuyer Reports and carry out Valuations so will ideally be a Registered Valuer. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria: > At least 5 years in the role of Building Surveyor > Experience surveying a range of residentail properties > Experience carrying out Building Surveys and HomeBuyers Reports > MRICS or AssocRICS qualified > VRS Registered > Excellent communication skills and confident talking to clients > Full UK driving licence with own car for business use You will need to have held a similar role working within the BS and BA postcodes so you are familiar with the type of housing there. MRICS Chartered Building Surveyor is required to join a small consultancy in Bristol. They are ideally looking for a candidate who can work with a varied level of client with the confidence and experience to work autonomously. The successful candidate will have a track record in both professional and project based work with experience in a similar role in Project Management. You will lead client meetings and ensure the delivery of projects to time, budget and of high quality. To apply you will ideally meet the following criteria: - over 3 years post qualification experience with good all-round experience - leading project teams to deliver refurbishment and new build projects including office fit outs, new build residential and commercial schemes - advising clients on programme, cost and procurement implications of projects for both public and private sector clients - undertaking acquisition surveys of commercial and industrial buildings - advising clients on dilapidations (acting for both landlords and tenants) - actively involved in winning new business, developing client relationships and commercial management of instructions.
