Our client is a Landscape Arboricultural, & Ecological Consultancy. They are currently seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their small team and undertake and manage a variety of field surveys. The role is based out of their office in Essex.

Senior Ecologist Role Requirements;
Bat Survey Licence
Four years' experience in ecological consultancy
Competent undertaking Phase 1 Habitat Assessment and Protected Species Surveys
Good knowledge of British flora and fauna
Good understanding of wildlife legislation and the planning system
Excellent report writing skills
Experience of successfully applying for and implementing European Protected Species Mitigation Licences would be particularly desirable
Full driving licence

They are now looking to recruit a Senior Ecologist with consultancy experience to join their team in Essex. The position provides the opportunity to work on a wide range of interesting and typically high profile projects throughout the UK. Senior Ecologist duties will involve the following: Leading and delivering ecological project work such as: protected species and habitat surveys Appraisals and impact assessments for development proposals; biodiversity planning strategies; ecological management plans; and green infrastructure design advice Candidates must have the ability to communicate ecological principles and concepts to a range of technical and non-technical audiences, including clients, design teams and other consultants.
