Graduate Environmental Monitoring Technician

£17,000 - £21,000
Our client is a leading Multidisciplinary Consultancy, they are currently recruiting for a Graduate Environmetal Monitoring Technician to join their team in Berkshire.

The main requirement for the Graduate Environmetal Monitoring Technician is to carry out airborne fibre monitoring for asbestos fibres during asbestos remedial works in line with current legislative requirements. There may be possibilities for involvement in other areas of environmental monitoring including works such as friction measurement of rails, slip testing of floors, dust and diesel monitoring.

The successful candidate will be fully trained in airborne fibre monitoring in accordance with HSE document MDHS 39/4 (air testing for asbestos exposure), static monitoring and personal exposure to other contaminants.

Once you have completed your training you will carry out the following duties:
Site work
On Site Monitoring
Liaise with Contractors and Clients on site
Produce technical reports

The successful Graduate Environmetal Monitoring Technicianmust be;
Fit to carry out on-site testing where equipment may need to be carried
Be flexible
Have a positive attitude
Have excellent communication skills

Candidates must be degree qualified in a relevant science/environmental discipline and hold a full & clean driving licence.
