We are looking for experienced Surveyors to join a busy practice who are growing and looking to expand the team in North and West Yorkshire.
We are looking for an experienced Chartered Building Surveyor or General Practice Surveyor, also a Registered Valuer with a high attention to detail.
You will ideally meet the following criteria:
> 4 years minimum PQE
> Ability to undertake Building Surveys, Homebuyer Reports and valuation work
> MRICS or FRICS Chartered
> Registered Valuer

Our client is an established and successful environmental consultancy based in North Yorkshire. They are now an expanding broad-based practice specialising in ecological assessment, landscape planning, landscape design, and arboriculture with experience in most areas of environmental consultancy. They are now seeking an experienced Senior Ecologist to join their team.
The successful candidate will assist the Managing Director with the running and managing of the Ecology team.
The candidate shall manage the delivery of new and existing projects in the local area; resourcing surveys; analysing data; reporting and implementing ecological mitigation measures to meet the specific project requirements. Liaising with project teams and advising clients at all stages of their projects from pre-planning to project delivery, in-line with their specific requirements. The candidate shall assist the managing director to develop new business from our existing client base whilst exploring potential new business opportunities.
Skills & Qualifications:
-A degree in an ecology / biology based subject, and understanding of all relevant UK & EU legislation and planning policies is essential
-Desirable professional attributes would also include experience in applying for, and securing, EPS licenses, liaising with third parties; CIEEM Membership (MCIEEM) and experience of EIA/AA process and BREEAM assessments with a good knowledge of UK and EU wildlife legislation and local planning policies / process
-The candidate should have project management and proven business development experience with enthusiasm for growing the company. Working as part of the overall ecology team the candidate shall provide ecological advice including carrying out a range of protected species surveys, preparing reports and assessments
-The role shall include coordinating and implementing a range of ecological and habitat surveys and protected species surveys whilst liaising with and providing high quality technical support and advice to their clients
-The senior ecologist shall organise and manage junior staff and sub-contractors for field work where necessary
-You should be experienced in producing technical reports including EPS licence applications, EcIA and BREEAM assessments and be experienced in liaising with clients and government / stakeholders, with a proven ability to identify and facilitate solutions
-The candidate should have good report writing and computer literacy skills.
-The candidate must have at least 5 years' experience within ecological consultancy and be able to undertake baseline preliminary ecological appraisals and protected species assessments, producing sound ecological reports
The candidate should be licenced to work with legally protected species; particularly with bats; GCN; and Dormouse
-Must hold a current full UK driving licence

Due to an increase in workload, they have an exciting opportunity for a permanent position for an Architectural Technician or Part II with a minimum of 5 years post qualification experience, to provide essential support to a forward thinking company. The Role would involve working on a variety of technically challenging Architectural Projects.
The successful Architectural Technician will be proficient in AutoCAD, experience of Revit is also advantageous, and will have excellent knowledge of building regulations. The ideal candidate will have 5 years' experience using AutoCAD preferably in the residential sector, although other experience will be considered. This role is for a candidate with a strong technical understanding of building projects and buildings in general.
