They are currently looking to bring in a Planning Consultant with 1-2 years Consultancy experience and working towards MRTPI to support the Planning Team in York.
The ideal Consultant Planner will:
Prepare and support the negotiation of planning applications under the Planning Act and Electricity Act for both the English and Scottish administrations.
Support Senior Planning staff and Project Managers in the delivery of projects to schedule and budget.
Provide planning advice on developments from site finding to discharge of planning conditions.
Prepare planning statements, design and access statements and public consultation reports.
Support post-submission monitoring and evaluation of planning applications, involving summarising a wide range of points to provide a clear and concise overview of the status of a planning application.
Prepare and submit planning appeals, assisting with Inquiry procedures including reviewing proofs of evidence and supporting documentation as necessary.
Liaise appropriately with in-house multi-disciplinary specialists as well as sub-consultants, developers and other relevant bodies.
Assist with the preparation of reports and other deliverables.
The ideal Planner will have an RTPI/RICS accredited qualification. (or equivalent), excellent communication and interpersonal skills and knowledge of Environmental Impact Assessment would be highly advantageous.

Acts as the local technical consultant and liaison with customer management and customer representatives at site
Provides service and technical support to prescribed customer sites.
Conduct preventative maintenance on water treatment plant, chemical feed pumps, controllers and instrumentation.
Main tasks involve routine and emergency visits to equipment at customer sites.
