One of the UK's most experienced ecological consultancies and contractors are seeking to recruit an experienced bat Ecologist. Surveying with be undertaken throughout the South West area.
This role involves late nights and early morning surveys including emergence and swarming surveys, as well as bat activity surveys. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to other surveys and report writing when not undertaking bat surveys.
The ideal candidate will have bat survey licences for England, and will have at least three survey seasons of experience. Surveyors need to show experience in leading bat emergence/swarming surveys. They will also hold a full driving licence and will use their own vehicle.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Ecology, Biology, Environmental Science or similar subject
- Associate or Full Member of the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management or similar professional body
- Own their own equipment (torches, bat detectors) and can demonstrate that they are capable of taking a proactive approach to their work.

The successful applicant with hellp in the production of landscape and visual impact assessments for 'standalone' reports and as part of environmental impact assessments.
